Complex secondary health care treatment or Tertiary healthcare treatment to an APL patient shall be on co-payment basis in a PHI or on referral in an empaneled private hospital which is 30% of the package cost or actual cost of treatment whichever is lower. The balance 70 percent should be collected from the patient.

The concerned PHI or the empanelled private hospital can charge such patient its publicly-disclosed rates.

The facility of emergency treatment for APL card holders in empaneled private hospitals is not approved at this stage
