illage Officer can do an enquiry to check whether you follow the customs of a particular caste or not. Sometimes, Village officer might report it to Tahsildar and Tahsildar will issue the certificate. Otherwise, Village Officer will itself issue the certificate.

However, it is always a better option to submit a School certificate or an old caste certificate of yours or your family members which mentions the caste in it.

Caste might be mentioned in your SSLC mark sheet or the school leaving certificate. You can use that for availing Caste Certificate.
