Mono crystalline panels are not available now. It may / may not be there in future tenders. We don't insist on Mono or poly in our tender specification. However, the companies quote with poly as it is low cost and also readily available.

In the subsidy scheme, as per MNRE guidelines, we can use only Indian panels. Mono panels of Indian make in such a huge quantity is not available now.

Both Mono and Poly generate on an average of 4 units per day per kW. The only advantage of mono is that it requires less area. For example, for 3kW, 9 panels of poly are required, whereas, 8 panels of mono is sufficient. The generation from these two sets of panels of 3kW is the same
