Aasara pensions are meant only for disadvantaged families who, in old age or upon being widowed have no earning member in the family.

There are multiple conditions to satisfy to get old-age pension. With respect to you, for the old-age pension, these ate the requirements.

  • Above 57 years of age.
  • Having children who are not employed in Government/Public sector/Private sector/ Out-sourced/contract;
  • Annual household income is less than Rs.1.50 lakhs in Rural areas and Rs.2.00 lakhs in Urban areas

As your children are currently employed, your annual household income might exceed the required level. In that case, you might not be eligible for the Aasara Pension scheme.
