no you complete the ita requirements and they will process the file  it takes about 8 + months

After the ITA, and AOR (Acknowledgement of Receipt- Submission of Supporting Documents), Biometrics and PPR, the applicant will receive COPR (Confirmation of PR). The applicant can travel to Canada upon receiving the same and the PR (Permanent Residency) will be active once the applicant set foot in Canada with COPR. I hope this answers your question.
